Alzheimers New Zealand are an amazing organisation that exist to help kiwis living with, or supporting someone, with dementia.
Their old site had so much valuable content that was almost impossible to find, resulting in a stressful user experience when people are already under tremendous distress. Internally, both local and national organisations found the CMS very difficult to use.
We were tasked to simplify the CMS so that it was accessible and easy to use for all local organisations and national office as well as creating a simple, accessible front end. The old branding was dated and needed a re-fresh while still retaining some of it’s well known assets. We shifted the brand to be more modern, friendlier yet still sensitive and informative.
With the end-user at the core of our approach, our process and design was driven by WCAG3 accessibility standards and user empathy. The site needed to be very easy to use for everyone and highly informative.
